The Beatles exhibition is now OPEN, marking the launch of a permanent new Getty Images photographic space at the Movieum of London, County Hall. The Getty Images Gallery has announced that it will be opening a permanent new photographic exhibition space at the Movieum of London in County Hall. The exclusive Beatles exhibition features rare and unseen images of the “Fab Four”, from famous photographers including Robert Whitaker, who accompanied John, Paul, George and Ringo on their 1966 Far Eastern Tour. The Movieum of London, located on the first floor, is an interactive movie museum and creative centre for film and theatrical arts in the magnificent County Hall on London’s South Bank. Visitors to the Movieum are treated to a journey through British film history including a massive collection of original props, costumes and sets from some of the world’s best loved movies. The Movieum of London is owned and curated by Jonathan Sands whose career began as the on-set photographer at the legendary Elstree Film Studios; Jonathan now dedicates his life to promoting the UK’s film industry through education.The launch of the collection marks the 40th Anniversary since the Beatles played their last live performance on the rooftop of the Apple Building at 3 Savile Row. The images span from 1963 to 1970 and include shots from the filming of Help and A Hard Day’s Night, as well as candid behind the scenes pictures of the Beatles on tour. ![]() As well as the photo exhibition, there is also a selection of Beatles memorabilia displayed on show, including one of John Lennon’s very own Rickenbacker guitars courtesy of Pete Waterman OBE and participation from legendary actor, Victor Spinetti, who starred in most of the Beatles Movies.
