A unique new museum celebrating the UK film industry opens at County Hall today.

Movieum goes behind-the-scenes of the British film industry showcasing the great UK talent that has produced some of the world's most famous movies. Win tickets to visit this exciting new attraction!

From the history of Pinewood and Elstree Studios, through to the individual departments that come together to create a film, including special effects, animatronics, make-up and wardrobe and much more, there is something for everyone in this entertaining and educational experience. Featuring real sets, props and movie equipment, the Movieum is a great, new London destination for all the family.

Ever wanted to know just how movies are made and just who creates the magic? Ever wondered where some of the biggest blockbusters of all time have been shot? 

Also included in the Movieum experience is Europe's leading animation art specialists; The Animation Art Gallery. Taking you through the history of this vibrant and exciting part of the Industry. From Beatrix Potter, Dangermouse, Mr Benn to Peppa Pig there is something for all ages. 

Opening on 22 February in County Hall, this 30,000 square foot space is being transformed by Weird & Wonderful, the production company behind the sell-out Star Wars exhibition which was voted the No 1 Attraction of the Summer 2007 by the Daily Telegraph. 

The exhibition is promoted by Jonathan Sands, former promoter of Star Wars the Exhibition, directed by Bob Keen (acclaimed SFX director).
